Great week of running! Capped off with my annual Birthday Run (27th bday=27 miles). First 20 miles @ 10:xx pace, last 7 @ 8:3x pace. Big thanks to Ben (miles 1-15.6) Cat (miles 1-20), Kim & Jerry (miles 1-3.5), Kebra (miles 7ish-15.6), Emily (miles 12-15.6) and Tom & Janet (miles 20-27) for joining me. 

A major thanks to my amazing wife for supporting my running and for coming to mile 20 and 27 to support and run a few miles :)

Week 2

Today ends the second week of training for PigTails! While I didn't hit my goal for the week due to another unplanned rest day (maybe I'll just start planning to take two days off) but still a very solid week.

This was also the first week of half/full marathon training for a group I'm coaching. Its a great group of runners (~25 total) and I'm looking forward to watching them grow over the next 15 weeks before their goal race in early May.

Week 1

Its been too long since I posted. I'm still chasing that sub-3 marathon, but am taking an Ultra detour.

Here's week one of training for the Pigtails 100 Miler.

Monday: RD

Wednesday: am- 6 miles @ 6:34, pm- 5.91 miles @ 10:09
Thursday: 10 miles @ 8:52
Friday: URD
Saturday: 14.04 miles @ 8:07

Total: 62.01 miles @ 8:27

Hopefully training for this race and coaching a half/full marathon training group will make posting a regular thing again.
